Your perceptions have a direct effect on your physiology and health, which can then be a powerful feedback mechanism to let you know what you’re perceiving. Or to put it another way, you can look at your physiology and get an indication of what is going on in your psychology.

To give you an example, if you see more support than challenges in your life, your oestrogen levels are more commonly going to rise and your testosterone levels go down. What this means is that the adverse would apply – if you are seeing more challenges than support in your life then what you have is your testosterone will tend to go up and your oestrogen tends to go down, which in effect will have an affect in your physiology, in your fat levels and protein levels.

When you perceive your life to be challenging, especially really challenging your growth hormones tend to rise. If you perceive the feeling that you’re supported, especially really supported your growth hormone will tend to go down, which can then affect your altitude.

If you are perceiving a current situation as challenging it may leave you feeling defensive and becoming narcissistic. This maintained regularly over a long period of time may make your blood sugar levels rise which could potentially create tendencies towards diabetes. Diabetic people, generally speaking, tend to be more self-righteous and narcissistic, which will often, make them never waiver from what they want, meaning they will ultimately do things their way! They tend to be more dominant and tell others what to do or how to be as opposed to being told what to do.

On the other hand, people who suffer from Hypoglycaemic, which is the deficiency of glucose in the bloodstream, are individuals who more often than not, are over-supported and are more likely to do anything you tell them to do. In other words, they have different personality traits, personas and different illnesses because of the way they perceive life.

If these people tend to perceive more challenges within their life and in turn are more bitter, they tend to lean more towards the diabetic side; on the other hand, if they perceive there to be more support and have a “sweeter” view on life, they tend to go more towards the hypoglycaemic side. This tends to be a physiological response to the perceptions that they have in their life. The psychological perceptions or view point they have on their current life. I say current life because this can be altered at any moment with a shift in habitual thinking and belief systems.

This can also be said with your thyroid function. The thyroid gland originates from the thyroglossal duct and is basically associated with the tongue. What we don’t realise is that there are correlations all over the body and with the thyroid this is no different. Begin to notice, when you are suddenly faced with a challenging situation and you begin to feel angry and you find yourself lashing out or speak up, what you’ll find is that your thyroid levels are likely to rise. If you are able to hold back and reflect on the feelings and understand where they are coming from you will be able to reduce your thyroid levels.

This is usually the reason as to why you will be able to see that people with hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid) who tend to be very quiet, holding back and don’t speak up as much and often struggle from weight gaining issues; whereas someone with hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid) are usually outgoing, outspoken, say what they want to say, tend not to worry about what people think, and are more extroverted.

This is the same for other hormones within the body. When you perceive that you face more challenges within your life every day your testosterone levels rise, which in turn increase the number of red blood cells withing the body. On the other hand, if you are perceiving to have more love and support within your life, your oestrogen levels are likely to go up and you will more likely end up with more white blood cells within the body.

What this means is that there is a correlated change, physiologically, that will occur. Your body will tend to get more defensive and more durable when you are seeing challenges constantly. This in turn will lead your hormones to the more masculine side. As mentioned earlier, this is the same for the opposite, your body will lean more towards the feminine side and feel relaxed when you are feeling constantly supported.

If this is the case, how then do we balance our psychology and physiological self to create a oneness and wholeness within ourselves and others?

Based on cases studies shown through such researches such as Tony Robbins within the Robbins Research team, Dr. Joe Dispenza and Dr. John Demartini these studies, through Applied Physiology as well as the many published reports, research projects and books relating to what the psychology is doing in physiology and how “sickness” is the body’s signs and feedback to let us know how or what we are perceiving in our life to be good, bad or ugly! Now if we are living in a space that isn’t serving us, and we are finding consistent challenges and we perceive the life we live to be a struggle rather then support, this may in turn create an autonomically polarising sickness.

This being said, and as the research shows, sickness and disease is our body’s feedback and response to help guide us back to wholeness and well-being. However, our sickness or illness can be misinterpreted or misguided in a world which is screaming for a life of symptom free, this is where we, rather then build our immune system and allow our natural self to fight we are quick to rush to a doctor and take a pill for some type of illness. “pill for every ill”

Let’s look at this example. One night you go out for dinner with friends and you overeat, which we have all done before, you may have had this feeling before, you wake the next morning feeling bloated, having cramps, nausea, puffy face or feeling tired. What this is, is a physiological reaction to the overindulgence of overeating the night before, this is quiet possibly the best response from your body to let you know that you overfed yourself the night before. What if we cover up these symptoms with alkalizers or an anti-inflammatory product we won’t have the valuable body feedback helping us align oneness and wellness. So, what this means is that we are masking our symptoms or signs from the body that we need for wellness and are not likely to learn our lessons that the body is trying to teach you!

The symptoms of your body are a feedback mechanism to guide you towards a wise life where you can see life from a balanced perspective. The second you do; you are likely to have maximized wellness potential. So, your physiology is a reflection of your psychology, and your psychology intelligently affects your physiology.  Your body is doing this to help you realign you’re self to living more wisely, living a more moderately and harmonious life. When you decide to live in alignment to ourselves, to our highest values, you live in, you will find more clarity, more stability and a more balanced life. When you live in alignment with the values that you hold at lowest priority, you will notice that your life will feel lost and unreflective of where you want it to be, leaving you feeling unbalanced. So, as the research is showing us, the symptoms are reactions of our psychology trying to get us to live faithfully to what we make as our highest priority in life, our highest values, so much so that we are able to live out our greatest vision, our masterpiece, our greatest life.

Your psychology is the equation and your physiology is the answer. Your body’s reaction to how you are living out your life is its way of guiding you to live the greatest, most inspired life possible

Your physiology is your friend. Your symptoms are feedback and your body way of guiding you to live an inspired life.
